lots of updates to go through from the past few months! finished up the 'Chasing Curiosity' demo, did another bluegrass demo project for Dick Richards, recorded and mastered a reggae/hip hop track for Tam-T, edited and mixed a comedy cd for paul mussel, did the 'Case of Asthenia' demo, recorded a live-off-the-floor session for 'The Late '94s' which led us into starting a 7-song EP (which is sounding amazing!), did a single each for samantha ammoun and mike elsdon, started a 7-song EP for 'Arms of the Girl', and im just working on the 'Open Sky' master now so its almost finished. one big run on sentence to cover a couple of months...
i've also taken over the role of chief engineer at Pebble Studios, which has been my home base for 4 years... and im working in talent development for Hummingbird Music, where im coaching, writing with, recording and producing two upcoming young bands 'Foxhunt' and 'Arms of the Girl'. i'll update the projects section soon!

currently in studio with 'Open Sky' and 'Chasing Curiousity'. lots of projects coming up, including: 'Arms of the Girl', 'Case of Asthenia', a new 'Embassies of Denmark' single, 'The Late 94's', and a few more without titles.
i have also been doing a lot of live sound at the new Greenfield's Music Hall, writing with and coaching a pile of bands, looking for a new house, and getting ready to coach at Jam Clinic again in a month. busy summer!

no updates for a while, but i have a lot of new stuff to put up in the projects section when i get some time.

long time without and update! very busy... did some more work with the 'Eric Eggleston Band' and 'Side-FX'; recorded a single for Robin Goslin; did some live recordings for 'Big Mojo'; and started on a single for 'The Colour Surround'. by the new year i will have started work with a classical group.
teaching and band coaching has been busier than ever, but i promise to update this site fully soon!

productive week... completed the 'Embassies of Denmark' ep, did a quick off-the-floor record for 'The Vanishing Act', and recorded a demo cd for ottawa songwriter Howard Jamieson.
back to teaching this week, and some more records to come this month!

'Rivals' and 'The Tourist' have been finished, so i'm focussing on completing some older projects and finishing the 'Embassies of Denmark' EP.
i've also been quite occupied soundproofing the basement in my new house... anyone have some drywall they want to donate?

started work on 'The Tourist' with songwriter Ryan Ottagen... 'Side-FX' record is back from being mastered at Metalworks and should be available for purchase soon... 'Embassies of Denmark' record is going very well... the 'Rivals' mixing is going well too... 'Army of Saint Joan' mixing coming up.
next week i start my second year of producing live shows for bands at JamClinic, should be a good week!
i also found out what charity the recordings i did with Maya Ethier were for... H.U.G. a great organization!

whew, long time no updates... working like crazy, moving to a new house, etc etc.
the 'Sleeping Pilot' record is finally done!
did some work for a singer named Maureen Desouza who was recording some tracks for her family. did some tracking with 'Maya Ethier' and a choir for a song being used for a charity or something, im not sure what yet but when i find out i'll let you know. did some demo's for local rappers 'MC Alz and Punch Line Paul'... still working on the 'Side-FX' record, should be done next week. 'Army of Saint Joan' is still waiting to be mixed... started the 'Embassies of Denmark' demo which will be out by august... started working on mastering and sequencing a demo for local band 'Rivals'... starting another project with Ryan Ottagen and Tony Raybould next week.

got some of the 'Sleeping Pilot' master back from west west side and it's sounding awesome. should be completed this week!
i'm currently working on some stuff for Landin Williams aka 'Side-FX', a seriously talented young rapper. another new hip hop client in this week as well...
currently working on mixing: Army of Saint Joan, Stairwell K (live), Jacquie in the Kitchen (live), Donkeypunch (live).

'Army of Saint Joan' is still being mixed... last week i did a session for another opera singer named Diane Ross; three songs recorded for a singing contest. the live recordings of 'Jacquie in the Kitchen', 'Donkeypunch', and 'Stairwell K' went well, but we have yet to mix it all... 'Black Actors' is just waiting to be mastered... and the 'Sleeping Pilot' master should be back any day now from west west side.
i have some new projects coming up this summer with some talented people, looks to be a good couple of months!

we have finished tracking for the 'Army of Saint Joan' record, just going to mix and master it...
saturday night i've been hired to record a live show at Barrymore's in Ottawa for the bands 'Stairwell K', 'Donkeypunch', and 'Jacquie in the Kitchen'... and sunday i'll be doing my first session with a rap artist!

'Black Actors' ep is almost done, we're just going to master it... 'Secret Star' is all done and 'Army of Saint Joan' are in tomorrow to finish tracking for their upcoming ep.

finished the Tony Raybould project... finished the work i was doing on the new Eric Eggleston record... last sunday i had 'Black Actors' in and we did an all night live off the floor session for their upcoming ep which turned out sounding really nice! 'Army of Saint Joan' are scheduled to come in next week to get some more work done on their ep... i have singer / songwriter May-Jun (secret star) coming in friday to do some demo recordings... and thats about it at the moment!

studio work has been very steady lately, i really need to update the 'clients' and 'projects' section as soon as i get time.
i recently completed a demo recording for opera singer In-Young Jung that she is using for hey Julliard application... a demo tape for singer Jad Hammond... did a demo tape for the 'Liquid Sound Trio' who kick ass... the Sleeping Pilot record is finished, just waiting for West West Side to master it... the Tony Raybould recordings are going great and should be done soon... and im currently working on some stuff with the Eric Eggleston Band for their new record.
it looks like i have a bunch of upcoming projects too, more stuff with 'Cadets' (dave secretary) and probably a demo for his new band 'Black Actors'.
so stuff has been good! keep checking the site for updates!

so much is going on in the studio right now, i cant even get into it. ive been pulling 12 hour days pretty consistently for a couple weeks now, there is more work than ever!
the 'sleeping pilot' record is almost totally done, im just sequencing it and making some fine tunes. i'll be in NY on friday mastering it with Alan Douches at West West Side. should be great!
lots of new clients, excited to get on these projects!

started the tony raybould project; its sounding really cool, im excited about it! talked to a couple of potential clients and ive been asked to do 2 new records in the next couple of months, so i'll have a lot on my plate (which is the way i like it!).
i've done a couple of site updates, hopefully it all works...

studio work is steady... i have a few new projects coming up that should be interesting. in the next two weeks i'll be recording a couple more tunes from 'cadets' (dave secretary) and some stuff for ottawa drummer tony raybould.
the 'sleeping pilot' record is going great, it's just in the mixing stage now. the mastering has been rescheduled for the second week of february, i cant wait to get it done!
ive been so busy in the studio that i havent had time to update the '' section, but i have a bunch of content to add soon.

the '86 Bridge & Mill' split has been finished and it sounds great. it will be released at the label's discretion, hopefully before christmas. audio samples and images from the sessions will be available in the 'projects' section soon.
the 'sleeping pilot' record has entered the mixing stage and im really excited to get it completed. mastering is still scheduled for january.

yesterday i recorded 3 ottawa artists for a compilation record... Daiwhu!, Judah (Solly), and Ezra Wattie. all acoustic stuff, it sounds awesome... its being put out by 86 Bridge & Mill. we recorded 15 songs between the 3 artists yesterday, all i have to do is mix it this week and it should be available by christmas.
the 'sleeping pilot' record is scheduled to be mastered at west west side in january.
the 'army of saint joan' record still needs vocals and mixing, but i think they're gearing up to come in and finish it this month.
'the drive home' record is still a big question mark.
i recently purchased some serious mobile recording equipment to use during pre prod sessions and to do live recordings... im excited to test it out!

the 'cadets' (dave secretary) project has been completed, we're just waiting on mastering. once we get that done i'll put up some audio in the 'projects' section.
i engineered a karaoke type session for twelve 10 year old girls last week, singing britney spears songs choir style. it came out sounding like one of those 'kids sing along' albums... amazing!
this week im working on the 'sleeping pilot' project some more, and talking to some new clients.
ive been slowly but surely adding lots of content to the 'projects' section... photos, audio samples, etc... soon it will be complete!

the 'cadets' (dave secretary) recordings are just about done.. we have one mixing session left on tuesday then its just a question of mastering and packaging. the 'sleeping pilot' record is going very slowly, mostly due to money stuff and because our schedules are conflicting so much that we cant even arrange a band practice let alone a studio date. 'army of saint joan' has been at a stand still because of money... 'the drive home' is the same deal but more because that band doesnt really exist anymore.
i'll be engineering some voice overs for commercials or tv or something next week, should be interesting!

i finally decided to put something up here... this site will be fully functional and interesting soon enough. until then, i'm using it as a studio blog i guess.
right now i have a few projects on the go: the 'sleeping pilot' full length, a four song 'army of saint joan' ep, a two song demo for my good buddy dave secretary (ex van johnson), 'the drive home' record, and a solo project of mine.
